Stop Wasting Money On Gym Teachers

Gym teachers often make the same money as regular teachers, but that doesn’t make sense. They teach physical education, not core subjects like math or reading. Schools focus more on academic subjects that impact test scores and college admissions. Gym classes are important, but they don’t usually get the same emphasis or funding. Gym teachers typically work shorter hours and don’t have as many responsibilities outside the classroom. Their job is mainly to keep kids active, which doesn’t require advanced skills or training like other teachers need. Paying them the same as teachers who teach crucial academic subjects sends the wrong message about what school values most.
